Council annexes 54.88 acres along Cannon Road

Ordinance 11-25, second reading: "Parcel A" (31.73 ac) zoned R-2 and "Parcel B" (23.15 ac) zoned Industrial, near Cannon Road. Passed 5–2 (Coleman and Gerald opposed).

Spending

City buys a knuckle-boom debris truck for $223,841

One proposal received, Amick Equipment, a 2025 model, bought through the government leasing/purchase program with up to six-year financing. Approved unanimously.

Telecom

Council sets a 5% cable-franchise fee

Ordinance 03-26, first reading: a 5% fee on in-city cable revenue plus up to three PEG channels. Council also consented to a Spectrum state-franchise amendment (Resolution 04-26).
